[PC/Xbox360/PS3] Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Official Thread

LOL i made a shot the other night which took nearly 2 secs to hit the guy i was aiming at. Range motherfucker.
 
Thats HUGE mate, i got a 396 pointer and that was seriously FAR, so 415 must have been incredible.

Nice one.
 
Think my longest was 9000. I was sitting on the sofa and he was on the telly, innit.

415 is awesome mind. Bullet drop much? You'd have had to aim at a chopper! Lol.

Is there anywhere which tells you longest shot etc?
 
No but if you google it anything over 350 is pretty good, i've read some people saying they've got 500's. But have a butchers yourself

But yeah my 395 was seriously long so a 415 is crazy far, the cross in the centre of your scope would be the same size as the man haha.

Pretty much. One side of the map to the other. He was running in a straight line to thier spawn base. Watched him run for about 5 seconds and thought f**k it, just as he was about out of sight i fired (scope centre was about 2.5cm above where he was). Booom dead.
 
Its slow to start with but once you get to grips with it, i much prefer it, COD need to make some changes.

BF just has more to it imo, and i was a MASSIVE COD fanboy
 
Been having a bash at the recon class, not very far with it - currently on the SV98. Had an epic fail on laguna presa, hiding in a bush thinking I was all tacticool, called down a mortar strike on the enemy base but the binoculars focused on a twig that was slightly blocking my view about 2 feet in front of me. It was messy.

Campaign in COD is that much more polished, more variety, better set pieces etc.

Online, well the core run and gun mechnanics I still feel COD has the edge but given Battlefield has tanks, jeeps, quads, helicopters, remote UAV's etc etc and maps 20 x the size of cod, Battlefield is a fair bit better.
 
all of my sniper kills just say 60 points? one was atleast 120 away as that was the distance to the base and thats where the fella was that i capped.
 
I think it says 60 for headshot, then gives a distance.

I actually had a dream about this game last night, but I was part of it. Mainly tank driving and swimming but I did suffocate and drown my mate in the water at one point.

hardcore is the way forward. Less bullets and no killcam ftw :)

My best sniper shot was only 350 points.. cant touch that 500 pointer. lol

422 snipe last night.

Huge amount of luck. Some one spotted him and i aimed just above the red arrow (I couldn't even see him with the 12x scope lol)

That's mental. I had a 160 the other night, and that was so far away! Can't even imagine what 300 - 400+ must be like. Jeez.

Basically its one spawn base to another. Just find a good high spot on your own spawn base. Wait for you team to get near the other base and start spotting people. Fire just over the arrows.

Done.
 
Iv got this on the PC and its bloody addictive. Got a 460 snipe earlier on, no idea how though? does it relate to distance or other things? Also, double kill with that too.

Gotta love the GOL sniper btw, so accurate! shame it doesnt have mildot scopes
 
I've done it again with a double kill tonight on that map isla inocentes one must have been an avenger kill cause i got the little pin for it, also a nemesis one!

Rush - Attack - from the first island to the little village they spawn in after the first 2 have been blown up. GOL sniper.
 
I used the GOL a lot until I unlocked the M95. I now use that and it's my most used weapon, with 12x scope and Magnum ammo, too, so body shots are kills, too, usually :cool:

I need that in my life. I'm still rocking the M24 lol

I had a go on the PC version and sniping is soooooo easy on it.
 
Ive been rocking the same kit layout as you Scutch. Putting foo's down from the otherside of the map is so satisfying lol
 
I'm using the m95 now it's unlocked! Awesome weapon! What's this magnum ammo? How do u unlock that? My recon class is Maxed out now!

Took Down a chopper last night on isla incentes I nearly shat a kitten when I got the kill! Pilot threw abuse my way about being a sniper noob lol

The M95 sounds insane too on the surround sound. Love it.

The Gol is mint for Hardcore though, powerful and fast rate of fire.
 
Really still can't get on with this game online. I just get raped or run around aimlessley for 5 minutes encountering no enemies. I like the pick up and play aspect of MW2 too much I think.

Choose a different class until you become comfortable. I was the same as you until I had a go with Engineer, then you unlock the drill which allows you to repair vehicles, building up your points and allowing you to unlock more stuff. It gets better and better. I now can't get off Recon class, even though I've maxed it out :cool:

Youre playing it wrong.

Dont aimlessly wonder around looking for gringos, pay attention to whats going on in the game (depending on game mode). The key to this game is knowing where the the enemy is. Ie, in Conquest, keep an eye on what flags are yours, what are enemy and what is being fought over. Try and spawn in on squad members where possible (unless theyre camping).

It gets alot easier when you know what youre doing, just give it a fair chance ;)
 
right started last night and hated it at first playing tdm couldnt kill anyone really but they seemed to be able to get me easily. anyway tried it again later on teh flags one on hardcore and much easier went straight in with a 6 kill streak think i will play hardcore from now on
