PC'ing around rear badges...

  RB 182
Is this best done by taking the badges off or just taping them off and polishing around them?

I've read that one badge has 3 pins in and the other is glued into place? If this is the case, how easy can the pinned badge be romoved without breaking them, and what product do I need to use to stick the other badge back into place?

Thanks,

Mike

Clio Badge just pulls off.

Either be care full round the R/Sport ones (just trim taped on), though if you run over them with a polishing or finishing pad you will just clean them up nicely anyway, but would need to spend some time cleaning the residue out of the gaps - I tended to tape them up.

I found removing the clio one a right b*****d, tight as... was waiting for it to fall into 2 bits & that was doing it from inside the boot lid which means you need to take all the lining out

Other way round mate, clio is held by pins, mine was tight as fook, the renault when is held on by addhessive although have heard its pins on the PH1's, not 100% sure on that though, best way to remove that is heat it up with a hair dryer & get some floss to run behind it then remove the residue with something like ag tar remover ;)

Anyone any wisdom on best/safest way to remove the Clio badge? I understand it just pulls off but do you need to slip anything behind it or is it easier to remove the inner lining of the bootlid?

Thanks.

Wish mine had done that rich... had to take the lining out, hate pulling those plastic clips, just waiting for the pop.. or in some cases crack :dapprove:
