how pissed off was i today??

getting a 2ltr conversion into my RT from GDI which should be running 180 bhp bare minimum, my boss reckons his mazda 6 estate 2.5TDI will cane it as does the office assistant with a standard mk2 172.

they were pissin me off so bad i tell Thee! saying the only people who would buy my car as would be the scrappy and it will be a piece of sh*t, keep telling me to "grow up" and buy a newer underpowered car!!

i have bet them both 200 quid i will beat them at santapod, if i arrange something come april odd and they willingly accepted and they reckon it will be like taking candy from a baby!

Well wipe their smile off their face top end the mazda is really good I have drove one, but would have thought off the line your will be light and quick off the mark. And the 172 if you get the power from the 2ltr in the clio you should be laughing if you keep your car light... IE dont shove loads of ICE subs and heavy boxes in the back.... hehe

I get grief where I work coz Ive got a 172 with 17s and loud ICE and Im the youngest there, I just have to think that my car would spank pretty much all of their motors!!

At least you got an opportunity to prove them wrong!

think he changed his mind after realising the mystical Jedi powers of the 2.0l clios. deffo the way forward, and looks like youll be £200 (or £400?) richer too... now just make sure you have decent tires on and get some practice on the launch, dont want the car getting a bad name

i practice launching all the time and have a set of goodyear eagle f1 tyres, so that is both of those aspects covered.

not to mention my car is stripped out including my spare, bar the front seats!

the spec of the motor will be

2ltr bottom end, 1.8 16v awt modified head,

performance cams, modified exhaust manifold and inlet manifold and an SMT6 on the 1.8ECU.

should be interesting as due to the valver ECU i can reach 60mph in second gear, which is nice!

Should be very low 14s with an engine like that in a light RT!

Id be inclined to think the Valver limit is a bit too high for a Williams lump.. 6900 is what HP put it up too...

Mine is set at 7.1k and Ive had no problems with it at all and when I had it on the rolling road it made max power at 7220 rpm!

Its the same old story mate, most people who arent into clios under estimate valvers and 172s.

there is a bloke who comes into work with an Omega and kept giving me grief about both my cars. Of course i told him i would stuff him to 60 and round the bends.

this afternoon he came in winding me up cos of my rusty back arches that are halfway through being removed at the minute (you can imagine how it looks) so i challenged him to a quick blast. Standing start at traffic lights on dual carriageway, 0-60 and i whooped his ass, i havent spoke to him since.
