perfect amount to lower 172

  Ph 1 172
just been looking at lowering springs and it seems all do a max of 30mm. now my last clio which was only a 1.2 lowered 60mm and looked good. 30mm on 172 just dont seem enough is there any place i can get some 60mm lowering springs other than getting coilovers dont wanna spend that much on them.

im thinking my 30mm drop seen a couple of pics on here looks ok i got 16's as well so hopefully it will feel the archs up nicely. but just really not sure what to do. my last car had 60mm springs on standrad shocks for over a year no problems as well

what you have also got to remember is your standard 172 will be lower than your standard 1.2 by about 15 mm i think so dropping the 172 30 mm would be like dropping the 1.2 by 45mm.
i was after a 40 mm drop but like you say can only really seem to find 25 - 30mm.
would a 25mm drop make much of a difference really?

There is no perfect it dependsw aht you want to spend are willing to sacrifice and acccept ride quality wise on all roads

I went 60mm on 15", and tbh its not all that low, about an inch between arch and wheel.

There not that much lower realy due to the bodywork chnages etc which don't make for a fair comparison.
