Performance difference in fuel

I have been enjoying driving my new clio 172 cup and wonder if any other cup owners out there have noticed any significant performance increases between the 95 RON and 98 RON fuels. (Normal unleaded and super). I was thinking about trying the 98 but is it worth the extra 10p a litre at 83p?

i would deffo run it on the 98 ron, i have only ever used 98 in mine so cant say about any difference performance wise.

There is no discernable difference and itll run perfectly fine on 95 stuff.

But im sure alot of people will preach the benefits of 98RON fuel. Despite the fact that RON is a low speed knock test and has nowhere near as important an influence on high rpm performance engines as MON.

Optimax could have 98RON, but only 96MON, but BP Ulitmate could have 99MON. Just an example and i have no idea what either fuels MON is as its never interested me, im not payin 10p more a ltr for no reason.

Yeah i was thinking about giving it a tankful of that bp ultimate to see if it was faster even though there is a 10p per litre difference. What car do u have?

ive used both but not noticed any difference so i mainly just use the cheaper 95 ron stuff.
