ph 2 ignition barrel

does any one know how the ignition barrel comes out of the steering column and does the spring which flicks the key back after the engine is started come out with the barrel?

It's a complete unit so the spring will come out with it. If you take off the plastics around the steering column there is a little torx that holds it in them you put the key in and turn it until it pulls out.

As said, put your key in and turn it between position 1 and 2, push the little retaining lug down (after removing torx bit) and slide it out. The retaining lug will only push in with the key in a certain position, you'l understand it when you are doing it...
