Its been a long time so thought i would update the thread.
I have had an audi A6 Avant now for a daily which is perfect for the bikes and the dogs and good on juice.
The clio has been off the road since last November however work did not recommence until January due to the cold weather and lack of motivation.
However as my parents have a barn, a couple of my mates had been looking into getting a track car (Civic EG 1.5 d series) and needed a place to keep it to the motivation was rekindled. The barn needed cleaning up so that was first on the list before they went to collect the car. Now both the clio and the civic soon to be joined by a DA Integra all share a place in the barn/ shed.
The Barn/ Shed
Made a coffee table, then got back to working on the clio.
I have stripped everything out the rear including the roof liner, sound deadening, un required brackets, cut everything out of the boot lid and the also cut out the spare wheel well.
Before
During
Finished product
Seam sealed above and inside the car then hammeritted over everything to give it a nice tidy finish.
The Audi dogg then got a good service and the service light reset along with a set of rear tyres fitted by a good friend at halfords autocentre Middlesbrough.
As we needed to make an ecu for the civic and then change the timing belt, thermostat, suspension, LCA's and drop all the fluids, replace filters for new. Also managed to install the radiator from my EP3 so it now have a k20 radiator instead of the tiny little honda radiator's d series usually get.
Purchased some new bits for the clio over the past couple of months.
PMS Strengthened Rear beam converted for coilovers with Black series poly bushed.
Gaz GHA coilovers
Bucket seat
Finally this weekend got the car all back together so that it could go back on its 4 wheels.
Coilovers were fitted along with new hand brake cables, brake lines/ flexis, abs sensors to follow as euro car parts sent the incorrect ones, exhaust was then re fitted and the front coilovers we fitted too.
Aerocatched the boot lid
Also did some work to the front end however still need to carry out the epas conversion fit new poly bushes to the front end, pms top mounts and brace and an mocal oil cooler.
Currently how both cars are sitting at present
Some of the clio
Still some work to go and some surprises for the cliosport weekended
