Its been a long time so thought i would update the thread.
I have had an audi A6 Avant now for a daily which is perfect for the bikes and the dogs and good on juice.

The clio has been off the road since last November however work did not recommence until January due to the cold weather and lack of motivation.
However as my parents have a barn, a couple of my mates had been looking into getting a track car (Civic EG 1.5 d series) and needed a place to keep it to the motivation was rekindled. The barn needed cleaning up so that was first on the list before they went to collect the car. Now both the clio and the civic soon to be joined by a DA Integra all share a place in the barn/ shed.

Made a coffee table, then got back to working on the clio.

I have stripped everything out the rear including the roof liner, sound deadening, un required brackets, cut everything out of the boot lid and the also cut out the spare wheel well.

The Audi dogg then got a good service and the service light reset along with a set of rear tyres fitted by a good friend at halfords autocentre Middlesbrough.

As we needed to make an ecu for the civic and then change the timing belt, thermostat, suspension, LCA's and drop all the fluids, replace filters for new. Also managed to install the radiator from my EP3 so it now have a k20 radiator instead of the tiny little honda radiator's d series usually get.

Purchased some new bits for the clio over the past couple of months.

Finally this weekend got the car all back together so that it could go back on its 4 wheels.
Coilovers were fitted along with new hand brake cables, brake lines/ flexis, abs sensors to follow as euro car parts sent the incorrect ones, exhaust was then re fitted and the front coilovers we fitted too.

I went for a drive out with my mate in his Almeria GTI with a NEO VVL engine, even got pulled over by the police. But that was only for him to have a look around both of our cars and inform us that the traffic was bad the way we were headed and it was best to turn off and go the back way further on down the road.

Very rare you get a sound Policemen having the same interests as us lot.

Well a bit of an update
Have done a few track days (Blyton & Teesside)
The CS weekend was awesome got to meet a people off the forum and actually put faces to names or usernames haha
I finally manged to fit the rear diffuser which still has mixed views however i like it and it goes with the look of the car.

I made it from 1.5mm Aluminium so it is strong and quite light.
I then purchased another ph1 as a donor car for spare parts and the engine as i plan on going high comp soon :) i still have quite a few parts available if anyone requires anything please give me a PM.

I then did my local track teesside where my radiator got a punctured by another persons wheel bolt falling out mid session, not to worry as i got a lift back home to collect my mk1 scirocco radiator and bleed the system to get the last 45mins of the session. Not much else has changed apart from having my alloy radiator fixed and fitting a 1 litre catch can, oil cooler and another fan to keep the temperatures down.

Also sold the audi A6 and decided that i needed another fast yet sensible daily, so purchased another EP3.
I do love V-tec as well as the pooches.

Well i thought i would update my thread seeing as rather a lot has changed from my last update.

I took the car off the road at the end of November last year as i decided to fully rebuild the engine and get a very high powered yet still road legal NA PH1 as everyone is boosting clio's but i just love the noise and responce of a Naturally aspirated clio.

So i stripped the engine and also removed the ABS.
IMG_20151003_230634_zpswic1hxze.jpg

Then the car stood for a few months due to proposing to my now fiancé and purchasing our first house together, we moved in at the end of January. I took this moment to go rather wild before having all my money taken by the house.

My purchases are as follows;
  • PMS 48MM ITB kit with uprated injectors
  • PMS Exhaust Manifold and Link Pipe
  • CATCAMS 423's with VVT
  • CATCAMs uprated Valve springs
  • Supertech valves
  • New seals, gaskets
  • PMS uprated water pump
  • PMS top mounts and strut brace
  • PMS Gear linkage
  • Dry cell battery
  • Clio V6 spoiler
  • Valeo clutch
  • Lightened fly wheel
  • Forged pistons (12:8:1)
  • Toothed crank shaft pulley
  • Cambelt kit
  • New Main and big end bearings
I will leave you with some pornography.

A boot full of goodies.

DSC_0584_zpst5b7hvdl.jpg

Then i took my head to A.L Developments to have it port and polished to the same size as the inlet and exhaust manifolds from PMS, he also machined my valve guides and carried out a 3 angle seat mod on the supertech valves, i will let the pictures speak for them selves.

I then decided that as i am spending a rather large amount of money on this engine rebuild i should have it rebuilt by a reputable company and fortunately AMAC engineering are the next town from where i live (Northallerton) my friend also works there which helps.

Not much has happened now due to awaiting the forged goodies. My bottom end is getting bored to 84mm

I did manage to get the car out of the unit and give it a good clean and thats where we stand currently.

The car was provisionally booked in for mapping in June however the forged goodies have a 4 to 6 week lead time so i will have to have this rescheduled.

Oh and the Fiancee now has a Renault Zoe which is actually spot on i am rather impressed with it in all honesty, i have an Aerodeck civic with a lovely 1.6 non vtec d16 but i am slowly gathering parts to boost it as the shell is rust free and was originally purchased from Honda in Northallerton, as you can see she is currently rocking a set of the clios oz f1's with the NS2R's

Thanks for reading, i will keep this updated from now on as i think people will be interested to see what power it makes after Chris at EFI works his magic.

  Hi comp phase 1
How have I missed your project! It just looks awesome! and the plans sound like it's going to be a right weapon .
Did you feel any difference round track with the diffuser ?
Good luck with the engine build:up::up:

Those engine pictures are pure filth. This makes me realllyyy jealous....this is what I am working towards with mine - keep it NA with a lairy set of cams. Boost is all too common now, and boring.
I like this a lot.

Also, is that a skate ramp in the back of your garage? Looks like it in one of the pictures

Cheers everyone for the feedback, it sure is a skate park in the unit and also outside but that is still to be finished.
