Is it an 8v or is it a Redtop? The Redtop is the 16v c20xe/x20xe with 150/156 bhp. The 8v is the c20se 130 bhp or c20ne 115 bhp.
If we take it as the 150 bhp engine and the car weighs 850kg for arguments sake, letstorquebhp quotes 60 in 6.23 and drag qtr as 14.48. I don't think it will be that quick though TBH.
I would say there will be very little in it unless it is an 8v where you will have the advantage.
ok it must be a 16v then does a quarter in 14.0 dead at santapod, its striped and caged. he laughed when i said id be able to give him a good run for his money , i just wana make sure i dont make a fool out myself lol
how exactly? There were 2 at coombe when i did my last track day there and round the corners they left me for dust (they were on coily's) but on the straight i just reeled them in again.
they are 2ltr 16v with 150bhp at least standard, and very strong engines, a lot make more than standard power and they weight fuk all as well!
i went to a track day with my mate and we had a blast with a turbo 2ltr nova! he was pulling away on the straights with ease, but every corner the clio nailed him, and we eventually got past! they are crap at handling but damn quick in a straight line!
iv raced enough of them at york in my time when i had my old clios! i was runnin 14.1 all day and they were all about on par! my mates mk1 172 was running 15's all day!
Dan, you wont piss on a 14.0 1/4 miling Nova... I doubt you'd even get near that time even with mods tbh.
Laura, you will struggle against it big time tbh if thats the time it's running... stripped out you'd still prolly get panned... best bet is to just use my car against it, we'll swap the plates over for a run and pan it into oblivion
Red Top nova's shift, especially if it's stripped etc, obviously depends on if it's a straight line race or circuit etc, but overall I'd bet on the Nova, sadly
m8s got a 2ltr turbo nova, i can beat it on short sprints as it cant put the power down. Once it grips it pretty damn fast but i wouldnt want one! If its raining it takes him about 9 seconds + to reach 60 mph
depends on how good the drivers are! I've beat a couple of redtop novas in my cav gsi, same engine but about twice the weight. Its not all about power lauch and gear changes come into to.
