Ph1 Panel Filter Choice

What's the best panel filter to go for on a Ph1 172?

Want to get one sorted soon, as ill be servicing the car in the next month. On my Ph2 Flamer, having the Ktec panel filter made a massive difference (both mpg and slight performance increase - in my head anyway), so I want to go down the same route.

Ill be putting an order in to Kam Racing soon, so are any of their filters any good, as i've never heard of them?

Or should I stick with what I know and just order one from Ktec? Or are there better to go for (want to keep it sub £50 if possible, so that rules out the ITG iirc)?

I made more power than any 182's that ran at a local CS RR day with a standard panel filter in a standard 172 box. I personally think its a pointless upgrade tbh, the only plus side being that you can clean it rather than replace it at its next service.

You'll need to buy a can of dust retention spray come service time, but it's not expensive.

Iv got the one above nearly new that I bought then fitted a k tec induction kit so give me a shout if your interested in buying it. Cheers, Jamie

I keep those, and panel filters for ph2's, 197s and meganes in stock, along with KTR induction kits

Are Pipercross a decent brand then, in comparison to Ktec and such like?

I may drop a cheeky order in with you Dan, once all my other servicing bits are sorted.

they are superior to any ktec own branded filters, and are pretty much regarded as one of the best air filter suppliers.
