ph1 sounds ruff ( like an old diesal )

hey guys hope you can help my

my cars been doing it for a little while now when its just ticking over it sounds like a diesal:dapprove: the engine is really noisy. the revs stay normal but just sounds ....er like a diesal i dunna how else to explain it really

if it wasnt snowwing i would get a video

help would be aprriciated as i really dont know what it is?? just doesnt sound rite? oils fine and i havnt noticed any loss in power ect...

sorry to be a dum arse but what is it and what does it do?

any guess how much it would cost to get fixed?

it is a belt driven pulley thats attached to the inlet camshaft, go to a renault dealer.

You need to change the timing belt, pulley and the tensioner at the same time, i think it will costs you 300£.

Full cambelt and aux belt change if you need to replace it. Quiet expensive. Sorry

the belts were done 6mnths ago ????!! but if its the pully then i gotta get it done i supose. will only renault touch it? or other garages will aswell?

is it down on power? could be the coil pack? I'd be taking it back to where you had the belts done if it is belt related.
If not make sure you use one of the specialists on here. Much cheaper than a dealer by a mile.

No thats the Aux belt kit,

a dephaser pulley is just a pulley on its own
