Ph1 V6 Engine & Gearbox Oil Recommendations and Advice?

Getting a man in to do an engine oil and gearbox oil change on the Vee. Got the filter and sump plug washer from Renault, no bother. I know for the gearbox I need Elf TRP 75w80 - but where can I get that from? My local Renault place just said they didn't sell oil because they only have it in bulk. I suspect she just assumed and didn't know it was special or something. Anyway, they wouldn't sell me any heh.

And for the engine, I have searched, and looked in the technical manual - seems to recommend 15/30 - that seems a bit thick to me? I've only found answers relating to the Ph2 through a search.

Any advice greatly appreciated - does anyone do the gearbox oil mail order?

its 5W40 on the V6 Mk2 for the engine, i can't see why it would be different for a mk1, both L7X engines

you'll need a second sump washer for the gearbox i believe

Yozzasport sell the gearbox oil

That's brilliant Fred cheers :) Is the sump washer for the gearbox the same as the engine?

Cheers!

0W50 for me, better for fast road driving, although mine's not left outside...

Sump plug's are the same. The Filter is a pain in the ass to get off, a big pair of grips is the easiest way, but you may need to puncture it.
