only had the car a week and the exhaust is blowing god dam it.....lol

it is still on the standard exhaust and is on 49k so think its about time, i think its blowing in the common place of the dip, i am looking into several ways of sorting this.

new back box - am i right in saying this will not cover the piece of pipe i need?

a new piece of pipe welded in

a new system - not totally sure i have the spondolies for this but options on these would be good please people

renault
prospeed
k-tec

i would prefer stealth really

Standard system is very expensive!!

I a rather loud Magnex on, that the previous owner had fitted. I recently purchased a twin tail ktec off Taylor. I am quite impressed by KTec. Sound really nice and not overly loud.

but what you guys reckon about having a new pipe welded in?

Thats like buying Gola trainers and writing Nike on the side.......

Neil, welding the pipe in would be a short term fix... until another bit of the standard exhaust corrodes too.

The standard exhausts really are very bad, i would get a whole new system if i was in your position.

I wouldn't pay you with washers.

On a side note, Prospeed would be the only place i'd go. Ever!

I have a Prospeed exhaust, it's ok I've got no complaints. Plus the drive up to Cardiff from here is pretty good.

yer

i think the decision now is to either get the section i need new from renault (i can get it with a good discount, don't ask)

or

prospeed

the thing is how much i have to spend really, how meaty does the prospeed stealth sound rob?

Have you heard my exhaust? Thats a Pro-speed stealth 'mid-sport note' according to the reciept. Cost me £300 fitted. (I do have a sports cat though which increases resonance a tad)

It is much less boomy than the K-tec stealth I had before (but they have revised the design since then I believe)

Just my 2p :)

I went for a powerflow as I needed one the same day the OE one failed :(

The quality is actually pretty good for just £200, just a little boomy for my liking sometimes, but the chav in me quite likes it sometimes :)
