Phase 2 lights fitting prob *Urgent*

Ive switched over the wires according to the diagram however I cant get the new cluster to fit, its a renault phase 2 cluster going onto my 1.2 grande 1999. The phase 1 clips onto the bulb holder whereas this new one cant as it gets in the way of the clip, have I to butcher it off?

Bought them off a guy on here mate, PMed him to see if hes still got them lying around. I stupidly thought the wiring was the only change between the two.

I would have thought the bulb holders were to be included with the clusters.
