Pi springs

  E46 320D Tourer!
Hi all,

Been a member for about 4 years but this is my first thread! Originally had an 03 plated 172 cup but sold that stupidly and got a ruddy Beemer! Well after buying a house and selling the car ( couldn't afford both!) I finally got enough cash together to get an 04 plated 182 with both cup packs.

Had it for around 2 weeks and already been spending on it! Can't help myself! Well a lot of that was timing belt, fan belt and water pump!!! Was only 2 years and 3k overdue, so was a ticking time bomb!!!

When I figure out how to post some pics of her I will do!!

Anyway, back on topic! I bought some 'pi springs' on eBay, part number 70-045 on pi's web site.

Would these be alright to fit on my 182? I ask this as on pi's web site the part number specific to my model is 70-057. Now these ones would lower my car by 25mm, but the ones I've bought will lower the front by 35mm and the rear by 30mm.

I'm hoping I'll get some positive words fom you guys n gals as I'd like to get em on!!!

Here's the link to pi's spring page:

I probably should of gone somewhere more specialised but I took it thompsons in kempston. There good lads and spent all day working on it. Runs just as good as before, apart from the obvious lumpy idle when cold!!!

So do you think the pi 70-045 's will be alright to fit on my 182ff??

Jesus, no way they'll have the right tools for it.

I've only ever used the 25mm springs and they work nicely. Not like it's hard to change them back if they're not what you want

Was thinking that after I was looking at what tools they should of been using! Too late now, still she's running fine, so can't be all bad can it?! :S
