Not sure if this makes any difference what so ever, but my sportlines were used on my 1.4 for 2 years so they would have been settled at the height for the lighter engine, and then once the 2.0 went on, they might have dropped and settled more. However, this is just theory and no idea if it actualy worked.
 
No Will, you're totally wrong. I really mean totally. Like no sugar coating.

The ligher engine will have compressed the springs x amount, the heavier engine will then have compressed the springs y amount.

The fact x amount ever existed made no odds what so ever.
