Hes gave me grief 3 times within the past month or so & i just cant be bothered anymore. He said "You're finished if i see you with those plates on again". Lol. Anyway, i need something nice & clean looking.

Dont really know what my options are.

Measure the recess on your bumper first, might be a bit different height wise to the recess on the sport bumpers mate.

I'm getting a plain plate for mine for the rear soon as.

I have the same as Paul and the font is slightly smaller on the front plate and it's missing the codes on the bottom. So if you're already getting agro for your plates just get some plain ones made up to save any hassle.

He not pull you up about your tyres lol

pressed plates are all-right aslong as you have the postcode in the bottom and the "bsi number" in the botom right hand corner... :S but they are hard to try and find a place that will do them legally everybody who does the fake ones say there legal, i bought some show plates today from fcs with my name on for the clio when goin next yr etc, and the same guy was selling full plates like Y123 ABC without seeing your documents and not putting any postcode or anything and passing them off as fully u.k legal! juat to get your money! i felt sorry for the lads not knowing what a world of trouble they were getting them selves into! :dapprove:

The smaller plate on the front is tidy but the lettering will be illegal, even if you have the details on the bottom

I got some Dubmeister pressed plates a few months ago........which are legal.

The font, size (and spacing for my reg) etc are legal and come with the correct BS number and postcode laser printed on them. Also they are painted with reflective paint so cover all the bits of the law that normally cause problems to other non-legal ones.

They do require to see your documents which is a bit of a hassle, I went to a local specialist - listed when you do a search on Dubmeisters website, but when I received them (about 3-4 days later) I was very happy with the results!

Also when your local plod tells you to get 'em changed you can kindly point out they are actually legal.......had my MOT with them on too a few months ago with no hassle!

I had 2 cut down plates (my 5 digit private plate attacked with a jigsaw to be the same width between edge and letters as std plates) for years with no problems. Never got stopped once! But I assume they are stricter now!!
