Picked her up today...

  1.8 16v Mk1 Ph1 + S14a
So finally picked up the Mk1 Ph1 1.8 16v today in Exeter.

Probs so far>

1) Handbrake light sometimes comes on/stays on (faulty switch?)
2) Blower not working at all, heat, but not air movement, fuse fine (common prob?)
3) PAS a little noisey at times, nothing major.
4) Seems underpowered for a 1.8
5) Headlight suck, must get some uprated ones
6) Sunroof motor broken
7) It's not jap :(

Cool bits >

1) Feel great to drive and handles really well. Confidence inspiring.
2) Cheaper on fuel than my 250bhp+ 200sx I just sold today.
3) Sounds pretty cool, but needs a bit more induction roar
4) More comfortable than my circuit suspension, fiancee prefers the ride

1. could mean low on brake fluid I would check tht asap or low pads (but doubt the sensors are connected as they never are)

2. V common problem, normally the heater resistor pack, easy fix either get one from a scrappy or renault for around £30, wipers/scuttle panel/wiper motor off and then you can get to the blower.

3. Again common problem they are all noisey so could be fine, check the fluid as can get low, if it starts getting stiff then you know the pumps on the way out.

Not sure on the rest, number 4 ure best bet is to have a blip with another valver and see how ures compares, for 5 u can pick up cheap high power h4 bulbs from ebay or halfrauds.

Cheers sami :)
I've had my nissan in bits with turbo's in and out, full suspension done, boost controllers wired up, brake conversions etc, so I'm not afraid to get hands dirty :)

Will take a look at resistor tomorrow for the blower.

The hand brake actually is not working very well so that will require attention asap to see whats going on there. Will check levels as well :)
