picked up my 182 and have a problem already

after a 80 mile round trip to pick it up when i got home the engine management light came on and now it wont go away
got to take it back in the morning so they can plug it in to see whats wrong..
hope this isnt a sign of whats to come?

Get them to take the engine management warning light bulb out. Should sort the problem.

be good if there was a bulb, when the light comes on does your temp gauge drop or go funny?

were you going over 110 ish?

it can be triggered by that

temp gauge seems fine the petrol gauge seems to vary greatly from one minute to the next?
not sure what speed i was doing to busy enjoying myself
the light came on after i had got home and was just setting off to work the car had been stood probably 10 mins?

I wouldn't worry to much about it, have you tried stop starting it a few times? on my 172 i stalled it once and the stop light appeared for the rest of the day/ journey, but the next day the stop light vanished.

Never heard of that one,reguarly get it over 110 and never seen the light come on in 7 months.

Could be the cat converter sensor - this happened on mine a few months ago.
Small problem which the dealers can fix in a short time.

Mine used to come on about 130 but went off after a few days of 'sensible' driving

thomss has hit the nail on the head it was the oxygen sensor after the cat 2 hours at the dealer light off and a full tank of fuel so i am back enjoying my self again

Really ???? Had my 182 since March 04 when they first came out and have had no problems ???
