Picking her up tomorrow. Tax etc

  www.renparts.co.uk
Hey guys.
Right im off down to middlesex tomorrow to pick up my 1.4 clio. Right i have and insurance policy from my BMW which i wrote off and i assume if i ring when i get there i can cover myself instantly is that right? Also tax i plan on risking as i can't tax it till i have an actual insurance document. Ill have the cars reciept to prove if a cop pulls me over that i have just bought it. So i reckon i should be ok with that.. just looking for some advice.... if i go for a test drive before hand what noises should i be listening for? just in case. its a 53 plate 1.4.. i can't see there been any problems. its on a facelift as well :)
thanks
josh

You can get day insurance and I think you ca print off a document from then saying yoru insured which you can use to tax the car.
Not much to look more wonky stearing rust in wierd places crash damage maybe thats about it.
Full service history preferably with extra oil changes and no warning lights.
Both keys.
Check electrics work (passengers windows are always slower than drivers).
Rattling driveshafts etc
Some rattles are normal its French.
Sunroof rattles are present (its a common trait)
Oil level see if its toped it regaualrly.
