Pioneer TS-Q131C, any one got a set, how do you rate them??

  e92 + E46 M3 + Cup
Looking to upgrade the speakers in my PH2 172, standards are good but could be better, how do you rate the above? there ment to be a direct fit, bare in mind i'm going with light weight on mine so have no plans for a sub/amp etc would just plan to use these, & remove the rear speakers, sound like there would be an improvement or just save £70 & keep the stocks?

mate on here tomc90 has them
easy to fit as they are directly renault fitment so just plug them and turn it on. have to take the dash off for the tweeters though
they are pretty good sound i think but wont be up to their full potential without an amp

No worrys on the dash side of things, have carbon fibre dials to fit so its all gotta come off :dapprove:, not fussed for an amp/sub, never been a big fan of them, just like a nice bit of base with clear vocals

Is £70 the going rate for them then?

yep i think thats the cheapest price but i thought there was a discount code on here that you can get free postage, have a look around on here for it or ask somebody must know it.

I've got some in the Megane, wasn't overly impressed with them running off the headunit, sound a lot better now they're amped, easily as good as the kappas I had in the 172.

They need to at least be ran off an aftermarket headunit with a decent amp in it imo and amped if possible.
