Piper or K+N

right choice of them two, which do u think i should get?

I know this topic / question has probably been posted millions of times b4....but wat the hell

I mainly want one 4 sound, as ive heard u cant rreally tell the difference with power....dont they provide a better throttle response usually?

Maybe...but its very, very debateable!!!

Mikey - when you say Pipercross works best on a 16v, do you mean the 16v (Valver)??

K-Tec are releasing the viper airfilter for the 16v end of april, about £250 big money but its meant to sound wicked and power increase is sposed to be a few brake aswell (but its big money for an induction kit) i aint sure if i wanna spend that much thou?

Jim, jus got the piper x s-spec filter from halfods. Not a peep out of it. No noise from it at all. Dont think K+N have released one yet for the 1.2 16v!

 no noise!!!! :( thats no good! whats the piper-x that K-Tec are sellin with there RE-location kit? is that the same air filter? anyone else got a quiet induction kit for the 1.2 16v?

  Audi S3 225

Well my m8 has a new dynamique 1.2 16v and is completely standard as he got it a few weeks ago, he picked up his pipercross induction kit 2day from halfords i helped him fit it 2day and it sounds phat. Not as good as mine, but still much better than standard.

Cliors if yours doesnt make a noise then you probably didnt fit it properly or your cars broke, hmmm?

  Was a Clio 1.8 16v

Yeah, sorry i wouldnt know Jack about the new 1.2s.

I think the Viper kit for the valver will be the best with an air scoop from the bumper for more air to be sucked. Then u have forced induction (as the original box was) but with a less restrictive filter and a higher sucking power. ;)

I think i fitted it correctly. Got a k-tec exhuast, maybe it is drowning out the induction noise. Will need to have another look at it. Does anyone have any photos of there piper x induction kit? Close ups when fitted to see if i have fitted it correctly.

Cheers.
