Plasma TV 37 or 42????

42" and above - Plasma

Anything below - LCD

My mate has just bought a Panasonic 42" Plasma today for £1000!

just reading the reviews for that, seems pretty good, but people moan about the sound quality - my mate got a surround sound system too for an extra £150 which should resolve that problem.

  Rav4
the 60 series are great, even have pc input, only issue is as you have comented the speakers, but surround sound sure fixes that straight away!!

I have a PX600 Panny Plasma Steve (37") and sit 6-7 feet away.

From more than 8ft, certainly 10ft i'd be looking at 42"

That's a fantastic price for a top notch 42" Plasma.

Over 500 less than I paid for my 37" (though I did go for the 600 rather than 60 series)

sit about 10 or 12 feet away from mine, just got a 42" plasma... and its awesome, mainly for playing ps2, xbox360 and watching football and films..

If you go for the plasma go for LG (Very big Japanese make, they are excellent with technology), If you go for an LCD which I suggest you do go for samsung. some nice LCD's on www.play.com for v cheap, compare the rpices to comet/curry's! Theres a massive difference.

Just bought a 40" Sony Bravia S series from company below today for £970, cheapest I could get (checked through Kelkoo) and lucky for me local so I could go and collect rather than wait for delivery. Pictures ok, should be even better once I'm watching it through composite instead of scart, suggest you at least look at that site for a price, store is in Farnworth near Bolton:

LG are terrible for plasma's ! I know a couple people have posted that they have them but the amount of returns due to fault PSR are unbelievable, walk into most plamsa showrooms and the LG plasma's will be switched off cause they are knackerd lol..

Best stick with Panny, Philips, Samsung or Sony

I picked up the 37PX60 from Currys for £799 on Boxing Day, couldnt turn that down. Been looking at these for a while now. If you did a Online Reserve and Collect you also got a free Pedestal Stand. So was £799 all in.

They had the 42" for £899 with Ped Stand as well. But 37" is big enough. Replaced a 32" Hitachi LCD. Very happy with it
