Please convince me

Hi there,

Well I've been looking at auto trader and decided that I quite fancy a 182 or 172 cup.

I currently drive an Astra Coupe Turbo so just wondered if I could hear people's thoughts on swapping?

Have you driven any clio's yet?
Also have a look through the cars for sale area of the forum. I'd much prefer to buy one from an enthusiast rather then a dealer.

Welcome along, best advice is to go and drive them. I personally don't think there's enough between the two to worry about. More toys in the 182 but I love the 172 cups more. Don't ask me why? I don't understand it either.

I've had over 20 of them so you could say I like them a bit! lol.

I've had a few Coupes (Picking a 1.8 up tomorrow actually) and only two turbo's iirc, but they're not for me i'm afraid. A spirited drive down a back road was like steering a really flexible barge. Great in a straight line, look good, more comfortable on a long journey but that's as far as I can praise them unfortunately.

I just love the chuckability of a well maintained clio's. They do really good mpg, the build quality isn't ''that'' bad and they're specc'd well from factory.
