Please help make my Valver shine

Hi Guys

I have this old Valver which used to be mint, but i have recently been working a lot abroad, and had different interests. So the paintwork has become even more dull. It is red, which doesn't help. But now i have holidays, and i have decided to try and get some shine back into the paintwork. But iam an absolute noob when it comes to this. So i was hoping you guys could guide me towards what to use for polishing it.
Here is a pic of it, so you can see how dull/matt it is.

Wants a dam good machine polish and some decent quality wax to protect it.

One of the cleaning geeks will be along in a bit to help you part with a lot of money! lol.
