Polishin pads? Rich/Brazo

What Pads do you lads use? Been using the Edge pads most of the yr, but after an incident with the 4in pad i'm not goin bak.

When i started out i was using the sonus ones, but i didn't rate them, didn't yield the best results.

The edge idea is good, you can use 4,6,8in pads on the same adapter without having to change the backin plates like the sonus!

But like i said, i've lost all confidence in them.

Menz pads? Country lake? Bak to Sonus?

^Yeh i seen/read some stuff about them. Interesting design...

Mite try some country lake ones this wk. 8£ canny go wrong really. I want a few 8in ones tho, got the folks 4x4 to do and i'm sure as hell not doing it with a 4/6in.

For rotary nothing but Meguiars buffing pads

I don't really use the pc anymore but use to use sonus or lake country

I have Sonus 6" and Lake Country 4"...TBH though can't imagine they are THAT different between brands really. You just can't use a PC Ali ;)

13£ for a pad...Oouch! Granted they look decent, but i go through a fair few pads on a car. roughly 2-3 4in pads and 2 6in pads...So i'm lookin at 60£ instantly...Hummm.

For each car?!?

I still have my original pads which I got when I bought the PC, I just clean them well after use without fail...they are still virtually as new!

Aye, I wash them after...But I still use about 5-6pads per car! I've got something like 10pads for my disposal if i need them. Different grades and some designated for headlights and some for bonnet/roof.

Ah fair play...I thought you meant "went through" as in they were ruined!

I have 6 x 6" pads (2 of each grade) and 3 x 4" pads. I use the 6" ones mainly but they seem to last forever.

I get through the 6-8 pads per car as well.

Some of the harder pads die after a few uses. Most of mine live on and on though.

I use 4in ones more...Only use the 6' in the bonnet and roof.

Caught between the devil and the deep blue sea here...Lost a bit of confidence in the edge pads, but then again i've done about 20details with them and never had a problem...

I only use the grade 3 with IP, 2 with FFs and 1 with SRP or similar. Apply sealants and waxes by hand. Used the buffer cloth for removing products but find its still easier by hand.

Yeah people seem to rate them, I may go for that next time I need some, but by present ware rates that will be about 2010 ;)

I've got a special on Sonus 6" ones going on as I bought about a 1000 of them

The Sonus ones are made by Lake Country and other than the Menzerna 5" polishing pad they are definately the best IMHO for a PC. The polishing pad is simply superb with Menzerna PO106FA.
