Polishing over vinyl decals??

Want to polish my misus Mini one today but unsure if its ok to polish over the factory fitted strips on the bonnet?

Also whilst on the subject, there are loads of light scratch marks on the shiny plastic cover that are situated on the side rear windows... Can these be corrected or best to stay away from polishing plastic?

Which 'polish' are you using? If it contains abrasives then keep it away from the vinyl.

The plastic bits may correct if they are smooth with a gloss finish. Again tread carefully though, start with SRP
