Poor Top End Speed

Hi, I have just bought a 2002 Clio 172 Cup and whilst it amazing running from 0-90 mph it tops out at about 110mph and that's pushing the pedal through the floor, with a good tail wind and Jesus driving down a hill !!

Can anyone point me in a direction as to what could be wrong? Just had a service and also fitted a new clutch......

I was warned about this problem when buying mine, i belive its to do with the timing belt being done incorrectly.

Check for anything choking the intake or exhaust supply, i know it sounds stupid but i think i remember reading a similar story and some bloke found an old rag inside his airbox compeltely restricting air intake and makeing the car slow as hell. Then check for collapsed catalaytic convertor. I would also have a look at the cam timing too
