Poorboys Nattys Paste Blue

  1.8 Civic EX
Looking at getting some for my monaco blue...

any recomendations for cloths/pads for applying and removing the stuff? I presume you use it just like polish? rub it on the buffer off?

also would it be worth claying the car before using the wax?

I use it on my arctic blue , looks good but no better than the xxx hardcore paste wax imo .

I use a microfibre applicator , easier to hold than the little yellow foam pads for me .

Put it on thin , as the wax you buff off is just wasted product .Remove with a nice plush microfibre towel .

If you do but anything from carwashnwax.com you also get discount for being a cliosport member .Usually very fast delivery times as well :)

thanks for the offer steve but I'll just buy it as no-doubt my bro and dad will want a go too plus I don't actually know when I'm going to get the time to actually do it!

Cheers for the info Mr Billy

also just a quickie about the micro fibres...just recently it's been really dusty and don't want to dive straight in with the sponge and water for fear of creating swirl marks, would it be an idea to give the car a gentle wipe with one of these first?

Best bet is to rinse the car some way, I personally use the Gilmour foam gun as it also helps to loosens the dirt because as you might guess it covers the car in foam. Over the winter I was also spraying some Citrus Wash to loosen the lower part of the bodywork.

With the CG Blitz you can put that on before the wax or on it's own if you don't have time for a wax. Spray on a microfibre and wipe over the panel and then it hazes and you can then wipe/buff it off with another microfibre.

I have a feeling Nattys Blue is pretty much the same product as CG XXX Wax. My tub of XXX seemed identical to my normal pot of Nattys which the Blue version is reformulated from.

Nattys Blue is a clear wet looking wax but lacks soem of the depth most other carnubas offer, it is also not was easy off as others. I have tried a few waxes on a Monaco Blue, Zymol Titanium, CG 50/50, Pinnacle Souveran and P21s. and prefer the later.

I use these to remove Carnuba Waxes.

If in doubt about dirt and dust, always give the car a proper wash rtaher then a wipe down, swirl marks stand out on Monaco easily, also ditch the sponge for a decent wash mitt. A rinse with a hose or watering can before washing works fine.
