Portable HDD off standard Headunit

I'm sure I've seen on here a cable that connects to the CD changer socket on the standard headunit that has a USB connection on the end to connect a portable hard drive.

Anyone know if I'm right or was I dreaming?

If I am right, where can I get one from?

nope! the iPOD one is the Dension link but I don't got an iPOD so thats kind out the window lol

don't think thats right mate. Mine is literally just a harddrive on its on not the whole laptop..

yeah just found out about that. bit worried about compatability tho...with my atandard unit and the harddive...

Yeh he said he'd found the compatibility with the headunits was all over the place too. Its not the best system in the world either imo, very clunky. Works mind.

tbh the weakpoint in all these things is going to be the crappy standard headunit that was never designed to navigate something like this.
