Hi, before joining this forum, My install mentality was small sealed enclosures were the way forward. Along with a nicely trimmed amp rack.

However, I wanted more and more volume, Which meant one thing.

Ported, Big Box, No boot Space and no good looks

So I hada chat with John @ BFUK and he built me this:

3.5 Cubic Foot Tuned to 33hz

This mean the old install had to come out, Which looked like this:

I havent finished yet, The amps will be covered and the Box trimmed in Alcantara. The subs arent wire up yet, As I only had some speaker wire which resembled cotton So I am going to pick up some good stuff tomorrow

Will be building covers for the amps, So all you will see is the amplifier faces.

Anyway:

Perfectly sized so Irun my parcel shelf so the system is unseen

Really has brought out the best from my set up, Its so damn loud

Well happy, But noticing a definate performance decrease.

Still needs bolting in and finishing in Alcantara

if you don't want the hassle of putting it back each time, try putting some felt or sticky back velcro on the plastic where the parcel shelf makes contact. should stop the rattles.

Looks a rather big box, could you not buy another shelf, i had one in my hand this morning, and then cut holes in it, then re-cover it, so its stealth, but allows for the excursion.

u bolted the box down or how u fixed it. Intresed in your methord dude?

Get some small wood, another parcel shelf screw parcel shelf into wood so its raised and wont rub then velcro wood down to the lip that the parcel shelf sits on normaly?

Screwed it down to the an mdf false floor.

Got alot of work to do on it, I break up from work next week, So going to play then
