Possible engine problem HELP

Hi guys need some advise

My 200 is making a loud ticking/tapping sound .. my exhaust manifold has cracked so just waiting on the right time to get the new one fitted but I’m thinking could the noise possibly be from that... I was thinking the dephaser has gone aswell as the manifold but after ringing the garage who sold it to me ( only two weeks ago haha) the guy said he’s a very keen clio sport enthusiast and told me the 200 doesn’t have a dephaser ??? Is that true or is he telling porkys ?? And if they do have a dephaser is it an expensive job ?

lol he's a proper enthusiast then - they do have a dephaser mate, but they don't suffer with the problems that the 1*2 does.

Had a feeling he wasn’t telling the truth haha.. what could be causing the loud ticking /tapping sound then ? Just blame it on the manifold for now is it ?

I'd need to hear it mate to try and diagnose it, but I know the manifolds do make them sound like a diesel.

seen a couple crack at the flange on the head and they can sound a bit funny to say the least!!
