Possibly soon to be a Ph.2 172 Owner

Hi Everyone!

I currently own and drive a Fiat Grande Punto 1.9MJet Sporting in Orange and I love it but I need to reduce and consolidate my debts and part of that involves buying a car for around 4k or less. I cannot buy a run of the mill economical hatch and I have to have something I really want to own. So because of this I have been looking at lots of different cars and I have settled on the Ph.2 172 as I have always wanted one and they go like stink. So hopefully once I have sold the GP I will purchase a Clio.

Any advise on what to look out for would be greatly appreciated.

Your looking at a sh*t heap/very high miler of a ph2 172 for 4k or less

Most of the ones I have looked at have been very tidy, with FSH and about 60-80 thousands miles.

Nothing to be scared of mate. If serviced/maintained they can handle those miles. I'd drive a much younger one to get a feel, then you'll know how a decent older one should drive.

Perhaps, although i got my Ph1 172 for £3800 and its minted with 46k on!
