Received my new thermostat housing from @Kev@KAM hoping this solves the leak. Torqued them to 11nm , scared im going to snap one of the m6 bolts !

Stripping down for new gasket.

New Gasket in place , fingers crossed this fixes the leak 😬

Only have one car battery curently which was fitted to the white clio and also need a second lamda sensor so will have to test this again.

The leak appears to be fixed but i still have the starting issue to sort , managed to get it to start 3 times then nothing , pretty sure there is a bad wire somewhere

Nothing done on this lately , still need to figure out the intermittent start issue , will fire up 4 or 5 times then wont even attempt to turn over. Then the nextday starts again.

I have replaced the crank sensor and loom piece so ruled that out.

Wow didnt realise i hadnt really updated since october. Struggled to get anytime on the clio's as my daiky required work for the mot so 2 of my saturdays were allocated for sorting that out to keep me on the road for another year.

I was experiencing starting issues , was hit and miss about starting so i had alook at all my earthing points and the white plug of death. Also replaced the postive terminal with a new one from renault. I do have a relocation kit in the car but was just trying to get it starting from the usual batrery location until i fit a positive junction box in the bay.

Didnt appear to be getting fuel to the engine , swapped the relays from my white clio as this always started on the key to try eliminate things.

So had done all these checks and also swapped the tdc sensor over and coilpack again just to see if any change as it would turnover once then nothing !

So i opened the boot to find that the rear taillights were not grounded currently, i know i did only have 1 set of bolts originally from my iceberg and must have stolen them for the white car !

Fitted these and bingo it started ! 🙈 So had i removed these a while back and just forgotten who knows. Anyway i began to put back the relays and coil pack one by one and checking we still could start the car.

Had the same issue as the white car with the alternator not charging due to some powder coat on the face of the mount which bolts upto the engine block.

Car running just checking voltage was circa 14.5v. I did strip the alternator down to inspect the brushes but also check the diodes.

Saturday was planned for doing abit on the white clio but i wanted to get it out the garage. I didnt appear to have reverse on the car so i needed to get it jacked up and adjusted.

My was was to select reverse and use a cable tie to try keep it in place while i went underneath and re-attached the linkage.

We now had reverse and the car could be moved.

Removed the bumper for access to the linkage. I must admit the bumper doesnt fit very well but i think thats down to the air ducts from the fog lights and the grille not being attached to a crash panel.

I will have to see if it can be improved in anyway.

I do have a spare bumper i could use but this is just a track car so dont think it is necessary !

Thats how i left it end of the day, i did sell my corbeau seats also so will need to purchase a seat for it. Do i go full hardcore wrap around type seat 🤔. What do people think ?

Starting to sort out the wiring now that the car is starting of the key ok.

The looms are just running in the car currently.

Also borrowed one of the sabelt seats from my white build for now.

Still not decided on a seat for this yet , possibly a full wrap around or something similar l.

No Progress on this car, missed the boat for trackdays in this now. Don't fancy this over winter 😂.

Still lots of little jobs to do mainly with wiring loom tidy ups and wiring to lights.

Removed the KW V2's as these will be going on my white road car.

Got to give credit to KW for the quality. Ive had these shocks 10 years. Yes they've not done many miles but still.
