powdercoating question

right i sprayed my strut brace but cos of the heat it then caused it to stick to the bonnet carpet and so made it look rather fluffy.lol.if i was to get it powdercoated would that stop the paint becoming tacky when above the engine?

Did you lacquer it after you sprayed it ?

Weird that . Once the lacquer has gone off i wouldn't think the heat would affect it . You could get it powdercoated i guess , the heat should effect that .

I'd say yes , thats if you don't want a fluffy strut brace .

how are they done when you first buy them?as mine was red and that initially didnt get affected,they powdercoated?

They are powdercoated when they are new .

powdercoat is normally "safe" upto around 180degC

ha ha £35, take it to your local coatings place, ours would charge a fiver for that
