Power steering failure!!!

Right it's in at renault got toed in by RAC this morning reault just called saying that a seal had gone and with the belt's being covered it the steering fluid they will need replacing have'nt been quoted a price yet.

Would it not be easy to clean the fluid around the belts.

The fluid is pretty nasty.

i wouldn't risk it.

At Renault? 600 - 700 quid. You can't not do them though as PS fluid + rubber belts = very knackered belts, very quickly.

Go to birchdown they are very reasonable by all accounts

i'd be taking it to RSMurray if anywhere but cant risk driving it to leeds tbh (which is closer to me than birchdown, but cant speak highly enough of them)

its at a local gargae now for them to diagnose the cause

Got bk from renault cost for aux belt, cam belt plus tensioners and powersteering pump + labour was £1300
