what sort of noise mate? like the steering wheel itself is rubbing on the dash kind of noise?
mine made a bit of noise when i got it. try parking up on some gravel or wet grass and turning it full lock and back about 10 times slowly. that should bleed the system.
If not, Jas posted up about a steering additive that seems to do the job.
Just sounds like a normal power steering noise, kinda whirring sound. Just seems to have become a lot louder in the last two weeks, more noticeable now.
mine does this !! its quite annoying as it can be heard outside !! mine sounds like its pissed off im making it turn !! think im gonna replace the pump or try some of that additive !!
First try bleeding the system as it could be air. Haynes manual tells you how, but basically.
Take of cap for fluid reservoir
Turn wheels between lock several times with ignition off. It will be hard as now PAS with ignition off.
You may see bubbles in reservoir hence air.
I used a syringe to remove bubbles and some liquid and replaced with Wynns automatic box/pas stop leak and conditioner. That was all I could find but believe Wynns do a professional range with a little squeeze bottle of stuff for PAS and Jas has used slick 50.
HINT: If you can raise the front wheels of the ground a bit you will stop flat spotting your tyres on the tarmac. Or do like I did and go to a quiet car park and push car whilst moving from lock to lock.
iv got a simerlar problem, im pretty sure its due to the auxillery belt driving the pump being knackered (all the v grooves are cracking up, and on some parts have actually come off...)
i had this problem on my valver i got some wynns transmision stuff its in a can same sort of size as a coke can i just dipped some kitchen roll in the resivour so it soaked some fluid up then topped it up with the wynns job done and no more noise
