Powerflex dogbone fitted....

Car  2003 Clio 172
Okey dokey.....piece if piss to fit

But by gum, really tramped it tonight and the car buzzed like a tin can.

Does this definitely go with time?

Mine has got better. Probs done 1000 miles since, I went round the safari park day after had mine fitted, was awful!

That's good dude, cheers for letting me know....

The gear change is totally superb now but I couldn't live with the buzz

Thanks
Andy

TBH i don't even notice it, don't know if it's cos i'm used to it, or it's got better, i'm usually really anal about things like this so i'd say it must have got better.

Yeah gearchange has improved loads (still shite though)

It does def subside after a while, mines been done bout 3 weeks and is still slightly noticeable but much better than to start with

yeah it gets less.
Problem can be that everything that already rattled before will rattle bigtime now (like mine)

How bad are the vibrations? I fitted a powerflex lower engine mount to my saxo and an uprated gearbox mount and vibrations werent really an issue. Im close to buying a powerflex dogbone kit

The only thing that rattled in mine was if I had anything in the dash and you get quite a bit of resonance through the gear lever, but it goes leaving a lovely crisp gear change and no more manifold headbutting subframe!

I think if anyone had a remapped car with a higher idle i don't think you'd notice at all,

Aye, well mines remapped a I don't notice anything at idle...

Just when I really rag it

Good good, I have the mani headbutt issue hence needing this. Off to purchase this now

I have the fastchip map so all should be fine

Odd, as the only time i notice mine is on idle, it's fine when it's idling cold at 1.1k, just when it's warm at 850ish.

Hmmm,

Ill have to check how its fitted then......Im almost 100% positive its right......i had a look at a few who did theirs on here before.

Had a quick gander at daves dogbone guide and i followed that to the T (very useful post btw dave)

I replaced my upper gb mount a short while ago with one from ECP as well

If your still getting knocking id bet you the gearbox mount needs tightening a bit mate, pull the battery out and tighten it I'm sure that will sort it mate
