Powerflow exhausts, how loud is yours??

I went to powerflow in Leicester to get a new backbox fitted on wednesday, all I wanted was a stainless steel subtle quiet one (do alot of m-way driving) that wasnt hidden to replace the standard one that was falling apart. I spent quite a while explaining to the bloke what I wanted and how i wanted it to look. Anyway I went for a walk while they were fitting it to get something to eat and when I got back it looked exactly how I wanted, however the bloke was very excited that he had fitted a "deep sounding" silencer. He said if you drive it carefully over the next couple of days it wont be loud at all. Ive been driving it very carefully, not going over 3k revs (which is very hard in a 1.2 if you actually want to get somewhere!) but it is getting very loud and deep which is almost embarrassing in a 1.2 tbh.

Should I take it back & would they be able to make it more quiet? Has anyone had one made by powerflow that isnt too loud?

yeh they do get louder, and driving it carefully for a couple of days sounds like bulls*it imo.

I had a powerflow back box on my old car and that got louder. Wasnt to bad driving arround town, but motorway driving was a nightmare!

Mate there a bunch of tossers at powerflow in leicester, i take it you went to Mr. Tyre? There useless. They coudnt even fit my taylor made magnex system properly and its rubbing the steering rack!!! I garantee it will be blowing after a couple of weeks!

Take it back there useless there pal!

Cheers, yeah it was mr tyre. Wish Id known that before, well will be going back next week to have words, cheers for your advice guys.

Also Im pretty sure its started to blow tonight something doesnt sound right.

Longlife did the same to me on my mk1......took it back and they sorted it m8. take it back and kick off with them!

i went to powerflow (southampton) and they gave me 3 sounding options, Loud, Sporty or Quiet

i went for sporty, as i was going home i thought hmmm this sounds too quiet but after a couple of months as now the zorst has bedding in a bit, i have to have my music turned up because its so damn loud!!!
I hate to think what the loud option would be :s
