extreme i guess, but ive finally found something which will give me some results on my Skoda paint, using the white Menz pad too !
i did 2 hits of PG, 1 hit of IP, then a final hit of FF, followed by 3 of PB WD, and now topped with ***** Carbon
Saturday afternoon i had my paint depth read, the bonnet was showing an average of 220, so i figured i was safe to use the PG with that amount of paint to go at, for reference my door shut showed 79 IIRC
today i gave the car a wash and had nothing else to do with my day so thought id get the buffer out, at first i thought id just give the car a going over with PB WD to hide the many, many swirls i have, but then i changed my mind and decided i was gonna spend a while sorting the bonnet
in the past ive tried 3M FCP, 4 passes !, but i didnt seem to get along with it, no matter if it was dry or wet i wasnt getting results and i got a lot of bobbling, a few pm's to Yoda (DaveKG) and i realised my technique wasnt quite right, and also that FCP seems more suited to rotary, im working by PC
this is the result of over 2 hours today on the bonnet alone, its not 100% perfect but its good enough, its a 6 year old car so it has a few stone chips etc, and for how bad it was previously this is pretty impressive, sadly no before shots
but swiftjon over on DW saw my swirls in all their glory under petrol station lighting recently, he can vouch for how bad it was
