problem with 9855r and ipod adaptor

Right today i took the first step on my quest for a decent system, i bought myself a alpine 9855r headunit with the ipod adaptor and it all works fine. but it seems if i move the ipod when its playing it disconects but it hasnt it says no ipod on the screen then when i keep it still it searchs and finds the ipod again.

Any ideas whats going on?

possibly a short in the cable take it back ask for a replacement.

And make sure its all plugged in securly

take it back to the shop mate, sounds like a faulty ipod adaptor.

I got it all sorted it was the cable that goes from the box to ipod at the bit that it goes into it if that was flexed it would lose its signal.
