problem with quicktime

Quicktime always seems to crash giving me a green screen and the sound to the movie i want to watch with it. really badly slows up and goes green for no reason.

Bit annoyed as i am trying to watch the jack balck podcasts on itunes but it keeps going green on me!

any ideas why and solutions?

Quicktime is s**t, always crashes firefox for me. Google Quicktime alternatives.

yeah it does seem that quicktimeis pretty unstable.

Try VLC, Media PLayer Classic.

Quicktime is truly a memory hogging unstable overpriced piece of poo.

My Documents > My Music > Itunes > Itunes Music (normally, videos may be in "My Videos")

But yeah try VLC first, you can't beat it.

Don't know where they download to, probably your documents and settings though.

quicktime is the biggest pile of s**t on the internet today, steer clear of it . its never worked properly for me, just dont bother with it anymore

Works fine for me on a mac, can't comment about it on a PC though, thankfully I don't have resort to that.

I Didn't say that. I don't have to resort to using a PC because I can do everything I need to on the mac. I've got a PC, but it gathers dust, it's not been turned on for months. Only time I ever used it was for google earth, but theres a mac version now.

I was going to say the same about windows media player...s**t!

QT has always worked fine for me, maybe get pro??

Real Player is s**t

Open source players like VLC and mplayer are great because they play virtually anything and they arent bloat.

And they dont cost anything.
