Problem with SD memory card

I'm trying to put a load of pictures on an SD card, for a digital photo frame.

Everytime I get to around 315MB of pictures, it won't let me put any more on, says there has been an unexpected error, and gives the error code 0x80070052.

I've tried formatting the memory card, tried using one without formatting (I have 3 of the same 1GB sandisk SD cards), and they all have the same problem.

When looking at the properties, it says total size is 1.9GB, used space is 314GB.

Anyone able to shed any light on what I need to do to be able to use these damn cards.

Thansk.

Deeg.

I've been having the same problem with a cheap 1Gb card that I bought to go in a frame... wouldn't even format properly in the PC, so in the end, I stuck it into the D40x, and hit format - which appeared to work...

I don't think I'd trust it for much now though... Having caused problems once, I can't see it being reliable...

Is this a common thing?

The reason I bought a 2GB card was so I could have a ton of photo's on the frame, and not have to bother opening folders or anything on it, this kinda defeats the object, I might as well have got a 512MB card and used that.

I've not had it before but found that on the net, try formatting as NTFS as it should be able to handle the data better., then try again.

Cheers mate, wasn't meant to sound as snappy as it did when I read it back, lol.

Will give that a go then, f not, folders all the way.

Cheers.

Or, might send them back and get some better cards, as I bought some for the digital camera too, off to the states next year, so don't wanna be limited to a few photo's.

It's a Toshiba card, which is why I bought it, thought it would be decent.

Edit - I usually only use SanDisk, but these were on offer from 7dayshop, so thought they would be alright, so got one for this frame and one for mine and the Mrs cams, looks like they will be going back, lol.
