process guide for amp power cable installation

Could somebody explain the process for installing a power cable for and amp in a 182 clio please?

I know that it goes near the bonnet release catch but what tools do you need and do you need to remove the battery etc.

There are many posts about this but nobody has done a complete installation guide which would answer many questions for everyone in the future.

Just a thought, can anyone start this off then we could save it as a guide to this task?

Use a flat head screwdriver to poke the grommet for the bonnet release cable, then use a bit of washing line/cable and poke it through the grommet.

Attach the power cable somehow to the washing line/cable that's already poked through and then pull and it should just come through. You might want to make sure the hole is water tight after you've done this.
