progress!

hi guys some of you may know that ive been itching and scratching not knowing what to do with my clio, i really wanted itb's but didnt want to lose the a/c and start chopping my slam panel.

so after many many discussions with fred, benr and andy at gdi i decided to go for gdi's single body conversion.

so far ive been very very impressed with the service, the car went in last wednesday and from what ive gathered its nearly done, just got to wire the omex and map!

ive been getting updates daily from andy of my car and i thought i would share the progress!

the mods include:
jenvey etcc tb
cams
omex
bigger injectors
couple of other bits a peices that i wanted done

yeh i had alot to think about before i made my decision, but i think that i have mad the correct decision in my mind!

about the figures, i dont like to be overly optimistic, as long as i can feel the difference whilst driving should be good enough!

Absolutely no need for the enlarged ITB, Proven to do sweet FA.

Either way it'll run about the 205Bhp mark.

Like Iain, i'll stay clear of the rear end, i hope the mappin is better than stoddies's He struggles to get 200 to a tank!

hey guys got the car back yday and my god what a dramatic change.

ive been waiting on edge all week and emailing andy like mad about it (sorry dude) but i finally got my hands on her yesturday evening in the pouring rain :dapprove:

andy lets me loose in her straight away, and i was blown away to say the least. as soon as i left the workshop for a test run i gave it a bit of gas and all i hear is a bang, i look at andy, he goes 'well you wanted flames' lol - excellent!!

so coming out of the industrial estate, on to the open road i give it some in the wet and not traction in 1st or 2nd lol but once i got over the stage of being silly i hit around 3.8k rpm and the engine note just changed - kinda like a vtec!the car picked up incredably fast, felt so light even though i have a shite suspension setup as the moment, the throttle was sooo smooth!!i wasnt expeceting much from fitting a larger tb but its great, throttle response is excellent!!

overall, i cant stop driving the car, i scare the s**t out of passer by's but ill stop that now

overall, i think its money well spent and am back in luv with the car.

top marks to Andy at GDI :star::star::star::star::star:

ill be back to get the car sorted for switchable maps to add/remove the bangs shortly dude!!
