Mine has been very reliable. Only ever broke down once and that was a flat battery (it was old and not exactly the cars fault) . Just got to watch for rot on the boot floor, and inner arches but any mk2 will be fine due to a full galvinsed chassis (mk1's were galvinised too but are getting on now). Handling is fantastic out the packet, tail happy when you want it

Mk2's aren't all that great dude... They're easy starting to rot now! Still, yours is coming along nice! Going to be seriously fun when finished!
Like the battery relocation, can you link me upto the kit you used? Also which battery you went for, is it a type R one?
