PSU question

Computer at one of my sites recently the power supplys gone on it. Now the schools ordered a new power supply for it i've fitted it but it begins to boot up then switches off again the power supply goes off although the processor fan stays on for about 5-10 seconds and then that goes off too.

I've had this before but never known what it was, is it the wrong power supply, or is it another hardware fault inside the computer?

I reckno its motherboard

from experience i'd say the power controller on the motherboard is screwed, is the case most of the time when this happens at our place

from my experience the power supply is badgered

Its just had a brand new power supply in it though and still doing the same thing
