Pulling to the left?

  350z GT
Ok so since fitting my sportlines the cup has been pulling to the left and in order to go dead ahead i need to have the steering wheel turned slightly to the right....

first thought was that maybe it was that the springs needed to settle as they are brand new

anyone got any thoughts??

cheers

Yeah will be getting checked at the weekend....

think i messed it up when i took the struts out and replaced em??

  Nothing at the mo :(
are they brand new springs? if so dont get them aligned yet, giv eit a few weeks for them to settle then get em aligned.. othewise you may have to get them done again after it settles

Stu let me know what you find out, I'm having this issue (minus the new springs...) Let me know if it's something other than them please! :)

Just to let you know I went to Renault Services this morning, they said that my tracking is out. However, they said that the track rod end/arm (not sure which) on the drivers side is seized to the steering arm. Been quoted about £150+VAT to fix it, however, I think I'm gonna take it over to Fred at BTM at the weekend as I can't really get anymore time off work!! I'll let you know what happens and if it fixes it!

theres your problem.. you went to renault

Nope lol! These are a local Renault specialist. The only garage in my town, or where I work that I trust to look at my car! Did a top job getting the dephaser changed!

Keep trying to get them on here! I think his son used to be a member... think he's migrated to meganesport.net now though... They all rolled up in 225's this morning! The owner has a liquid yellow one, it looks mint. His son has an inferno, and another chap has a black f1!

They must mean the track rod end is seized to the arm

i doubt it

adjustable spanner and a hammer on the nut

Hi Dunn, that's what he said! He also said that the steering arm had some play in it?? I think the reason he didn't spend to much time trying to get it undone was because I had to get to work to be fair... Although after speaking to Fred earlier, he said if it's well and truly seized he'll have to cut it off... haha!

To be honest, I've been told before that my drivers side wheel has slight play, however, that was by KwikFit so I ignored them... lol (I went for tracking, that's about the only thing I trust them to do!)

Fred test drove the car just after Christmas and said the front end felt a little loose... hoping this is why! I'll be taking it to him on Saturday/Sunday to get it looked at anyways. If he confirms there is a problem with these components I'll get both sides changed as recommended by him.

Booked in to see Fred this coming weekend. I'll let you know what he says for future reference.

Did you have this on a Clio or your 207?

I have "slight play in offside front steering arm" and was looking for a rough price of what it will cost to fix.

Clio mate. Replaced track rod ends and steering arms and it was still doing it.

My next port of call was going to be front shocks and springs. Although there was some wear to the front ARB bushes so I was going to polybush the front ARB and wishbone.

But as you probably guessed I got offered a great deal on a 207 so I traded the clio in.

Both track rods and both steering arms were about £180

If your nearby give Fred a call. Hell check it over for you.
