Q. for you exhaust scrapers

  don't

im not lowered to the floor

yet on some speed bumps my centre section catches on speed bumps and makes a horid noise

its only now and again but i slow down and cringe whenever going over speed bumps because the sound is sooo horrible

the grinding, scrape sound as u slide over the speed bump

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I HATE IT

who else gets it???

hate it, ahh makes me cringe, errrgh

centre section?? my centre section is nice and high - used to dip and scrape with the cat on but now it doesnt with the de-cat - you could try making a n extra bracket?

Mine catches now and then but the decat i have is quite a large round section (scorpion). God knows why the back flange is 90oc to the front flange allowing it to hang lower? French!!

it only catches on a few bumps, usually im fine, depends on what i have in the car

i have a de-cat pipe from lunner, then standard centre section with the box, its the box that sometimes catches

its not a major problem, selling car soon anyway, just makes a horrible noise when it does catch and everyone stops and looks like your a criminal

I had that problem on my old RT. Took it to the garage and they rotated the exhaust so that it didnt scrape anymore.

I have a mk2 ph2 down 60mm on 16s with a stainless cat back system on, when i had the exhaust put on at 1st the place that done it put a centre box/silencer in and when i went over speedbumps or ramps in multi-story carparks etc it scraped but i then deceided it wasnt loud enough so i had the silencer taken out and a piece of stainless pipe put in instead of the silencer, it made the exhaust louder and it stopped hitting things.

I know its a different model clio than yours but its just a thought that it could be possibly the standard centre section thats causing the exhaust to catch.

yea probably is

its just the box that catches as it hands a little lower

nothing major anyway, just the noise thats not 2 nice but nevermind

dont think i could have a straight through centre bit aswell, its loud as feck as it is when under load

ppl in the back and its really loud, sometimes forget how loud it is, but now weathers nicer and windows are down, its pretty loud

  Punto/Clio GTT

yea mine catches, im dropped 80 mil at the back. ive tried to undo the exhaust, twist it, hold it up then tighten it.. the f**ker still drops down eventually.

my cousin made a bracket for his which locates underneath the handbrake.
