Question for JD?

  Arctic 182 & PB 172
Hello mate.

What do you reckon to this - Zymol car wash then AG ultra deep shine then Dodo juice purple haze?

Or should i use megs crystal paint cleaner instead of the AG?

This question is based on products i already have.

Thanks mate.

Where in Abz you based?

AG UDS a gimic imo, no need for it!

If i were you i'd pop up to Polished Bliss in Kintore.

5l of Shampoo Plus is a far more cost effective route too.

Do AG still make UDS? Pmsl!

I'd rather use dirty bath water, harsh? Maybe. The truth? Definitely.

If you're going to the haslle of buying Zymol stuff stay away from cheap AG stuff. Get a good pre-wax cleanser (Lime Prime) (Lusso Creme) and then Purple haze.

Do you have a machine?

what up with pm?

99% of all clio related questions have been asked before. If you search you'll 'more often than not' find the answer. But then the forum would only be limited to General Chat wouldn't it.

No harm in asking!

Hi, sod off the lot of you, this is my thread and it makes me feel spethal.

As above though, lol!

Personally, UDS is not the best product in the world. Nor is the crystal cleaner system.

For me, Wash, either polish with Lime Prime or SRP (SRP has fillers, so will hide some of the swirls for you) and then the Purple Haze... if you must.

But just re-read that you've already got those products - does this mean you only want to use them and are therefore asking about the order in which to use them? Or are you open to some AG bashing and Dodo/A.N.Other brand praising?

haha! TOO SLOW! Why you asking JD? He's got an Audi with granite paint and forearms the size of tree stumnps and he still can't get the swirls oooutttt! ;)

Yeah i have both these products.

I just dont really want to use an abrasive polish...

I dont really care if something has been discussed before...its a forum that i pay money to use yeah? Ill use it how i want as long as its in the rules of membersip

:D

JD is the man for this stuff so ill ask him direct and perhaps someone else will find this post helpful too :)

SRP is mildly abrasive as well chap. If you want something that isn't abrasive, it's not technically a polish... it'll be more like a glaze.

What are you trying to achieve my friend, what are you after?

Well basically my wee puppy is an 05 and has cracking paint for that age...i think. I keep it really shiny and applied loads of collinite 476 and megs nxt over the spring and summer months but it does have some minor swirls and also some very light scatckes from like snow and ice laying on it for weeks and probaby from jet wash foam brushes that i have used on it from time to time so id like to get rid of them if possible...im always just scared of taking off anything with abrasives!

Point one, stay away from the brushes!

Point two, don't be afraid of abrasives - they are not as bad as they sound, IF you have a brain cell :)

What colour of paint is it? I would suggest filling the swirls, if you're not happy to remove them. Something like Blackhole, dependant on your paint colour. Then top it off with a decent wax/sealant and you'll be well on your way.

No problem.

SRP may lessen them as it contains fillers so may fill the swirls. This is precisely what a product like Blackhole would also do.

I would go with SRP (shock horror) and then follow it up with the wax/sealant of your choice.

awesome. I have purple haze on the way.

Ill get some SRP and then piost up the results.

Thanks
