quick cf spliiter fitting help

we're doing this in the morning just need to know if we need to drill holes in the bumper itself (i mean all the way through) or just enough for the screws to be tightly held in place in the plastic?

id definately drill small pilot holes mate. never fitted a cf splitter but i wouldnt want mine cracking by trying to screw straight through it.

yeah i know i need to know to drill through the spitter itself but what about the bumper?

just a small sort of incision or a proper hole?

id go through with a 1mm drill bit first mate as you will probally struggle just trying to screw through with no pilot hole.

Get you and a mate to hold the splitter up on the bumper.

drill two holes on the left, two holes on the right. (through the splitter and bumper)

then drill as many holes needed around the front.

Get yourself some selt tapping screws and just screw it straight in.

Make sure it fits flush/properly before you start drilling!

I drilled holes in the splitter first and then put it up to the car, taped it in place and then drilled smaller holes in the bumper. Can't remember what size drill bits I used but they do tell you on the instruction leaflet from K-Tec.

I didnt drill holes in the bumper. Self tapping srews, you dont really need to.

Drill holes in splitter, then tape splitter tightly in place where you want it.

Then you can either drill smaller holes through your original holes in the splitter to make tiny holes in bumper to put the screws into, or just use the self tappers as they are.
